Living Library Concept Introduced to ASEAN Delegation

The living library concept programmed by Jakarta Provincial Government in developing library on Tuesday (4/25) is introduced to delegation of Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN)'s International Network Emerging Library Innovators (INELI) at Regional Public Library Building, Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta.

Jakarta Library and Archive Dept. Head, Tinia Budiati said, the delegation attended is an advanced team of the ASEAN's INELI. As planned, they will hold a conference a few months ahead.
"They come to review Jakarta's feasibility of holding a conference. In addition, they also study the library in Jakarta to be applied in the country," she expressed, Tuesday (4/25).
ASEAN Delegation Members Visit Pulogundul RPTRAWith living library concept, she explained, library is conditioned to be comfortable, relaxing and fun place to study.
To be familiar with locals, 300 libraries will be developed this year. Thus far, there have been 188 libraries in all RPTRAs.
"One of examples is Pulogundul RPTRA in a densely populated area. The impact of it is they already know from the visit made before," he closed.
